The Provincial Landscape Viewer is a terrific tool which has a variety of layers - forestry, crown ownership and ecological classification. It has a comprehensive and thorough Help Section.
You can upload Titus' tours from this Zip file and view his 200-year-old observations against the background of today's interpretations. Some of the descriptions are truncated in the conversion from KML to Shapefiles.

There are 40 classifications. I'm trying to make some sense of all this and hope to add something soon. For now, it's a fascinating glimpse into the ecological history of the province.
